Dale Cleary

Founder & Lead Consultant

Dale founded FleetShield Consulting in 2008 to help transportation companies protect their people and build safer operations. A former commercial driver, he understands the pressures that fleets, owner-operators, and safety teams face on the road and behind the scenes.

With 18 years of transportation safety and compliance experience, Dale brings a practical approach to improving safety performance, preventing accidents, and learning from the incidents that do occur. He combines experience with technology to help teams understand their risks and take clear, measurable action.

His specialty is building safety departments from the ground up: defining responsibilities, establishing workable processes, developing the team, and making safety part of everyday operations.

FleetShield’s work includes safety training, team building, CSA and ISS improvement planning, accident investigation, and root cause analysis. The focus is consistent: help your team understand what needs to change and give them a practical way to follow through.
